Marjorie McElroy

Marjorie Roe McElroy of Vicars Landing in Ponte Vedra Beach died on November 23, 2016. She was born December 4, 1931 in Chester, New York. She moved to Ponte Vedra from the Tampa area in 1994 after living with her beloved late husband of 52 years Robert in several locations throughout the country. She was a graduate of Russell Sage College in Troy, New York. Marjorie was an active volunteer wherever she lived, an avid bridge player and a loving and caring person. She was an active member of Palms Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville Beach. She was also a longtime member of Sawgrass Country Club.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Scott McElroy (Kerry) of Ashburn, VA and Stephen Roe McElroy (Yvette) of Cherry Hill, NJ; daughter, Amy Beth McElroy (Eric Ammondson) of Arlington, MA; seven grandchildren, Matthew of Cape May Courthouse, NJ (Ginny), Jeffrey of Cherry Hill, NJ (Samantha), David of Austin, TX, John Robert, Margaret and Peter Ammondson of Arlington, MA and Sean McElroy of Ashburn, VA; and three great grandchildren, Robert McElroy of Cape May Courthouse, NJ, Logan and Maisie McElroy of Cherry Hill, NJ.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29 in Palms Presbyterian Church, 3410 South 3rd, Jacksonville Beach with the Reverend Dr. Thomas Walker officiating followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. Inurnment will be in the Columbarium of Palms Presbyterian. In lieu of flowers Marjorie requested that family and friends perform random acts of kindness and/or make contributions to Palms Presbyterian Church.
