Marjie Bethea Wood

Marjie Bethea Wood of Ponte Vedra Beach died on July 8, 2023 at the age of 93. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Mary Addie and Alvin Bethea.

She was a housewife and mother until she and her husband, Milton, formed, The Milton J Wood Company in 1969. She was a charter member of St Lukes Episcopal Church and an active member of Christ Episcopal Church since 1973 where she was a member of Stephens Ministry. Her legacy was being a caregiver her entire adult life. Marjie moved to Vicars Landing in 2006 where she enjoyed a full and active life with many friends.

Marjie was predeceased by her husband, Milton J Wood. She is survived by her children, Milton A Wood, Mark S Wood and her daughter-in-love, Jette Wood, her sister Bobby Arnold, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A Service Celebrating Marjie’s life will be held at Christ Church in Ponte Vedra Beach on July 29, 2023 at 11:00 am. A Graveside Service for her interment will be held for family only later that day.
