Marie Carmen Scottaline

Marie went home to our Lord to join the angels in heaven after her short battle with cancer. While originally from Brooklyn, New York, Marie and her loving husband Edwin moved to West Babylon on Long Island where they raised their three children. Always active in her church, Our Lady of Grace in West Babylon, Marie served as a volunteer for many years in the pantry and soup kitchen. More recently, Marie and Edwin have been residing in Jacksonville, Florida. 

Her friends were lifelong friends, as she never missed an opportunity to reach out with a phone call or a greeting card to celebrate someone’s special day or just to let them know she was thinking about them. The same can be said of her extended family.  She will be missed by them all.

Marie is survived by her husband of 71 years, Edwin and three adult children, Michael, Robert and Lisa; daughter-in -law Karen and son-in-law Bryan. Adored as a loving grandmother to her six grandchildren, Kristin, Kerri, Eric, John, Kaity and Russell; and great-grandmother to nine wonderful great grandchildren, Kayla, Alexander, Adrianna, Noah, Jason, Raelynne, Emma, Silas and Harrison, all the loves of her life.

She is surely looking down from heaven at peace with a smile reflecting on how this family she loves so much started with the love she and Edwin had for one another.

While she has moved on to be with our Lord and the angels in heaven, Marie will always be remembered with love by her family for her loving, non-judgmental way she related to us all.

May she rest in peace for eternity.
