Maria Julia Perez, 69, passed away March 2, 2017. She was born July 30, 1947 in Havana, Cuba. She resided in the beaches area since 1986.
Maria Julia was known for her infectious smile and her infinite capacity to love. She gave so much of herself to family and friends, loved to travel, try new things and lived a vibrant life. She founded ADPEN Laboratories with her husband in 1989, and was thrilled when her two sons came to work for them.
Maria Julia is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Rolando; together they raised two loving sons, Steven (Lacey) and David (Jennifer); surrounded by 6 adoring grandchildren, Elena, Steven, Giuliana, Sophia, Laura and Leia.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Friday, March 10, 2017 in Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home of Jacksonville Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Saturday, March 11, 2017 in St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Reverend William Kelly as Celebrant, and Reverend Rodolfo Godiñez and Reverend Caesar Russo as Con Celebrants.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
