Margaret “Jane” (Pennypacker) Ford, 72, passed away on April 18, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida, following a challenging and valiant battle with lung cancer. The daughter of the late William Pennypacker and Margaret Romahn, Jane earned master’s degrees in both nutrition from the University of Florida and business from the University of North Florida. She had a long and distinguished career in healthcare administration, retiring from the staff of Mayo Clinic in 2014. Married to her loving soulmate, William Raymond C. “Ernie” Ford since 1999, she developed a love of active travel and enjoyed many hiking trips with him in fabulous locations before her cancer diagnosis. She had a love of the outdoors, daily walks, God’s works in nature, and a true passion for dogs. Jane is survived by her loving husband Ernie Ford of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, her brother, Bill Pennypacker Jr. of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, her beloved dog, Rollie, and many kind and loving friends. Jane and Ernie will be forever grateful to the spiritual support provided by the clergy of Christ Episcopal Church, and the excellent care provided by Jane’s healthcare team at Mayo Clinic during her battle with cancer.
A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Please join the family for a reception in the Parish Hall following the service.
