Mardene M. Reid

Mardene M. Reid, 82 of Ponte Vedra Beach , Florida passed away at 12:56pm, Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Baptist Medical Center South, Jacksonville, Florida, after an extended illness. 

Mardene was an Executive secretary for Sprint in Leesburg, Florida. She retired with 25 years of service in the telecommunication industry. She moved to the Jacksonville Beach area in 2011.

Mardene was an avid reader and skilled seamstress as well as a doting parent to her dog, Lucy. More than anything, Mardene enjoyed spending time with her family. 

Mardene was born in Walkerton, Indiana on December 8, 1939. She was the daughter of Ruby Scott Maze and Charles Maze. 

Mardene is survived by her four children. Her son, Steve (Donna) R. Collins of Petersburg, KY, . Her daughters are Elizabeth (David) A. Batta of Warsaw, IN. , Stacy (Tom) L. Foit of Fruitland Park, FL, and Buffie Marie (Troy) Reid Hilbert of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. She is also survived by her brother Richard (Sue) Maze of Plymouth, IN and her step-brother Jon (Mary) Werner of Leesburg, FL. She was also survived by 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
