Manjulagauri Khatri

Manjulagauri Khatri made her final journey and entered the spiritual world on March 13th, 2023. She was born February 3, 1943, raised in Vartej (Bhavnagar), and was the second oldest sibling of six. She married her brother’s good friend, the late Bansilal Khatri, and they were married for 48 years.

After marriage Manjulagauri lived in Mumbai, followed by Ahmedabad, and finally settled in Surat. She had six children and is survived by five: Parita Warde (Raj), Yogita Pandit (Krishnakant), Parul Mamtora (Vipul), Asha Varde (Mukesh), and Akshay Khatri. In 1988 she migrated to Houston, Texas with her family and later relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. She leveraged her passion for food and flavor to set up her own catering business and used her earnings to raise her children. For a short period of time, she and her children resided in different states; however in 2000 she was reunited with her family and they all settled in Jacksonville, Florida. Her favorite book to read was Krishna Avtaar and her hobbies included experimenting with cooking and spoiling her family with hair oil massages.

She lived life to the fullest with laughter, a smile, and love for everyone. She was the beloved nani of Prem (Ophelia), Chayan, Kiran (Isaac), Vishal (Mia), Ananya, Kashish, Shloak, and dadi to Vaani. She touched the hearts of many and will be dearly missed by all.
