(Mae) Lynn Jackson-Brim

May 26, 1924 — May 25, 2017

(Mae) Lynn Jackson-Brim passed away on May 25, 2017 following a short illness. She was born May 26, 1924 in Francisco, Alabama and raised in both Winchester and Chattanooga, Tennessee. Lynn moved up to Chicago as a young woman where she met a dashing young man in his Marine uniform home on leave named, Dennis Jackson. After the war, they married and settled down in Park Forest, Illinois where they raised three children: David Jackson(Marion), Leslie Jackson Glock (Dr. Rick Glock) and Michael Jackson. After her husband’s death, she married David Brim and together they retired in Jacksonville until his passing.

Lynn was famous for her polished, put together appearance and such sayings as, “I don’t do anything that I can’t do wearing heels”, and “I hate nature”. She was always a big city girl at heart.

Lynn leaves to mourn her passing, three children as well as many grandchildren and even great grandchildren. She was a real force of nature and she always lived her life “her way”.

The family wishes to thank River Garden Hebrew Home for their gentle, loving care over the last two months of her life. She would have also wanted a special thank you to go out to her son-in-law, Dr. Richard Glock, for his loving care and great generosity over the last years of her life.

Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynn’s name to River Garden Senior Services, 11401 Old St. Augustine Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32258 or the American Heart Association.
