Linda Shean Reed passed away on March 29, 2017 in Atlantic Beach, Florida. Linda was born July 31, 1947 in San Francisco, California to Colonel John P. Shean, USAF, and Lucille Hawks Shean.
A creative writer, artist and triathlete, Linda received a BA in English at California State College and a Master’s of Education of The Visually Handicapped at Arizona University, Tucson. As a Vision Specialist for The Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind, she specialized in educating families and children living with disabilities, with focus on the Native American Reservation population.
Surviving Linda are her three children, Brad and Jennifer Reed, and Jamie Sue Reed Teator; and sister, Nadine McGuire. Predeceased by her parents; and sisters, Phyllis Edwards and Karen Carter.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 13th at Johnson Hall in the Windward Commons Building at Fleet Landing in Atlantic Beach, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Fleet Landing Endowment General Fund.
