Laurine Gavron

Laurine C. Gavron, 73, passed away on August 10, 2019 in Auburndale, FL. She was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on April 23, 1946 to the late Cyrus S. and Norma Cruttenden.

Laurine retired after teaching for 43 years. She taught at All Saints Academy in Winter Haven, FL and Bishop Kenny Catholic High School in Jacksonville, FL.

Laurine was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Winter Haven, FL. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, and loved the beach and travelling; but most of all she loved spending time with her precious grandchildren.

Survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Russell Gavron; son, Russell John Gavron, Jr. (Sharon); daughter, Erin Claire Wilkes (Youssef Bidani); brother, Brian Cruttenden (Wanda); sister, Diane Meyers (Thomas); grandchildren, Trent and Ansley Gavron, Landon  and Tyler Wilkes; nieces, Nancy and Kaydee Gavron; nephews, Chip Meyers and Cyrus Cruttenden.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in St. Paul’s Catholic Church of Jacksonville Beach. The interment will follow in Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery.
