Kent Michael Hotson passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Kent led a full life that included sharing knowledge and compassion with his students as an International Baccalaureate World History teacher at Nease High School. He loved music and incorporated it into his teaching along with videos of his travels. He traveled with his wife of 54 years, throughout the US, Europe, Canada, and the Caribbean. Kent loved sports not only as a participant but as a fan. He was a handyman, never finding a project he couldn’t master. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity when he retired and would give anyone a hand if needed. Kent was a gentle soul, kind, caring, funny, and loving father and husband who was altruistic throughout his life and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Kent was 75 years old and preceded in death by his son, Dustin Hotson. He is survived by his wife, Janet Hotson; siblings, Karen Nestler, Gregg Hotson (Christine), and James Hotson (Kathy).
