Kenneth J. Curthoys

Kenneth J. Curthoys, 87, passed away August 20, 2022.  He was born September 26, 1934, in Buffalo, NY.  He grew up in Buffalo, NY and moved his young family to Detroit, MI in 1967. 

Ken proudly served our country in the U.S. Marines before embarking on a career in computer programming.  After retiring from a successful career with General Motors and EDS, he and his wife Eleanor moved to Spring Hill, FL in 1995. He loved to attend NFL football games, golfing, the Knights of Columbus, and spending time with his friends and family.  He was an avid traveler and he and his wife traveled around the world and embarked on over 60 cruises.

He was predeceased by his loving wife (Eleanor) of 61 years and sister, Linda.  He is survived by his three sons; William (Rhonda), Gary (Lisa), John, and his daughter, Barbara.  He is also survived by his grandchildren; Debbie, Christy, Danny, Jamie, Michel, Katelyn, Michael, Sydney and Kurt, his 6 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson; his brother Norman (Linda) and sister Nancy. 

A funeral service and rosary will be held at Quinn Shalz Family Funeral Home, Jacksonville Beach, FL on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm   A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00 am, Saturday, September 3 in St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

Memorial donations can be made in his honor to: Veteran’s Administration, Wounded Warrior Project, Knights of Columbus, or Hospice.
