Kathleen Foley

Kathleen Foley passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016. She grew up in Long Beach, New York. She attended Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY and after graduation she taught school in Long Beach. In 1964 she married Sam Foley. They have one son, Sam who she cherished with great pride and joy. Sam and his wife Diane gave Kathy two grandsons Sam and Connor. These boys filled her heart with true happiness.

Kathy was an avid competitor and in addition to golf she was an accomplished Bridge player. Whether golf or Bridge everyone was always pleased to have Kathy in the foursome. She was filled with enthusiasm for the game and brought a great sense of humor to whatever she was doing. She loved a good read, Broadway Musicals and cooking a new recipe but most of all she loved family and friends. She was intensely loyal to those she loved. Kathy met all of life’s challenges with courage and humor. She will be greatly missed.

Kathy is survived by her husband Sam, her son Sam and his wife Diane, two grandsons Sam and Connor. She is also survived by her sister Pat Salkeld and her husband Warren Salkeld, her nieces and nephews Lauren and Alex Salkeld, James Rowen, Mary Joyce Maguire, Grace Gambel, Jean Brown and Elizabeth Kennedy and Samantha Davidson.

A celebration of life mass will be offered at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Thursday, November 3rd at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Community Hospice of NE Florida.
