Kathleen E. Del Vecchio

Kathleen (Kathy) Elizabeth Del Vecchio, age 74, passed away peacefully at her home on April 14, 2024, in Jacksonville Florida.  

Kathy was born on July 11, 1949, in Rochester New York, daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Taylor.   She married her husband William (Bill) Del Vecchio in 1966 and remained for the rest of their life together.   They brought four beautiful children into the world and enjoyed watching their family grow as grandchildren later followed.  

Kathy was magnetic, everyone she met was drawn to her loving and selfless personality.  She lit every room she entered, filling all the space with laughter and a touch of sass.  Her heart was big and there was always an open seat at her table for anyone needing a place.  She leaves behind a reminder to enjoy life to the fullest and love hard.  

Kathy is survived by her loving children Michael, Michelle, Sharisse and Tina, her grandchildren Elizabeth, Jamie, Joey, Jenna, Kylee, William and Jayden, her great grandchildren Arianna and Lennox, her sisters Sue and Nancy, along with many adored nieces, nephews, and in-laws.  She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, and brothers Mike and Chuck.  

A service will be held at 9:30am, Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Sacred Heart Cathedral with  family and close friends, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester, NY 14615.
