Kathleen Bate
November 12, 1945 — June 15, 2017
Kathleen Sue Bate, 71, of Jacksonville Beach, FL unexpectedly passed away June 15th, 2017. Kathy was born in Mishawaka, IN on November 12, 1945 and graduated from New Carlisle High School in 1964. She married Richard on July 14th, 1970 and they were happily married for over 46 years.
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband Richard (retired BMCM-SW), her children and their spouses, Tom (Mary) Johnson and Erin (Jonathan) Liby, six grandchildren: Ashton, Austin, Julian, Joey, Tommy and Keaton and two great-grandchildren: Avelynn and Olivia.
She was loved and cherished by all who knew her. Kathy enriched our lives with her humor, compassion and artistic abilities that will always remind us of her love of beauty. We will all miss her dearly and treasure all of the memories and positive impact she had on our lives.
A memorial service will take place on June 24th, 2017 at 3:00pm at Quinn Shalz Funeral home in Jacksonville Beach, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Jacksonville Humane Society or the Vietnam Veterans of America would be greatly appreciated.
