Karla Daley

Karla “Bibi” Paola Daley, 31, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent’s Community Hospice surrounded by family on January 7, 2019. In the end she was very strong and fought a very hard battle with a rare cerebrovascular disorder. She was born on February 10, 1987 in Guatemala City, Guatemala, where she grew up before moving to Florida with her mom, Sandra Ibarra and sister, Pam Fuller. She and her husband, Steve Daley lived in Tampa, FL before moving back to Jacksonville.

A graduate of the International Academy of Art and Design in Tampa, Karla enjoyed a career in Fashion Merchandising which was her passion. She met her husband while working together at Ryder and got married in Tampa on December 5, 2010. She was an amazing wife, daughter, sister and mother of Raider, her fur baby. They relocated back to Jacksonville in 2012 and she thrived working in the bridal industry. She landed her dream job at Stein Mart as an Assistant Buyer in 2015. She was hard working and took pride in her work. She was a selfless and kind woman that loved animals, cooking and her family unconditionally. She had the biggest heart and believed in being kind to every individual she met. She touched many lives in her short years and will forever be remembered as the wonderful person she was.

Karla is survived by her husband of 8 years, Steve Daley; mother, Sandra Ibarra; sisters, Pam Fuller, Tatiana Ibarra and brother, Sebastian Ibarra; brother-in-law, Frank Fuller; cousins that were like siblings, Luisa Ybarra; Rodrigo Ybarra; Johann Hartleben; Manfred Hartleben; Nicole Hartleben; Jessica Faubel and Ashlyn Easley. She was predeceased by her father, Carlos Ibarra and sister, Sabrina Ibarra.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home in Jacksonville Beach at 12:00pm on Sunday, January 13, 2019. The family will receive friends and family at their home following the Ceremony.
