Karen E. Aibel

Karen Elizabeth Aibel, 62, passed away November 13, 2024, in Jacksonville, FL. She was born August 26, 1962, in New Rochelle, NY. 

Karen grew up in Scarsdale, NY and spent her college years at Boston University and the University of Arizona in Tucson. Professionally, Karen spent more than 30 years in both large and small organizations in sales, business development, and human resources. After working for several years in Real Estate management, Karen re-focused her business activities on residential real estate sales for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services / Florida Network Realty.

Karen was selfless. Anyone who knew her well knew that she put their needs above her own. Her passions in life were her family and her friends (including her beloved 4-legged ones). Her best days were taking Charlie on a walk with a friend and their dog, shark tooth hunting on the beach with one of her crew or fishing off the dock on Black Hammock Island.

Karen is survived by her mother, Ellen A. Bierman; brother, Jeffrey B. Aibel, Jeff’s wife Kathryn L. Aibel and their daughter Sydney E. Aibel.

An informal Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Sunday, November 24th from 2pm to 4pm at the Jacksonville Golf & Country Club. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Nassau County Humane Society or the Mayo Clinic.
