June Pabian

March 20, 1927 — January 30, 2018

June Louise Henderson Pabian went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 30, 2018, at 90 years' young.  Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on March 20,1927, to Ruel and Louise Henderson, she was the youngest of three sisters and a proud graduate of North Little Rock High School. June was an avid Bridge player, tennis player, reader, cook, and was unapologetically proud of her Southern heritage.

June is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles, of 65 years. They are now reunited and are once again doing the jitterbug together (which is how their "meet-cute" happened). She instilled in her children to think for themselves and to faithfully stand for what is right.

Always feisty and full of sass, June hated the idea of getting old. She would be absolutely livid that her birthday is mentioned in this obituary, let alone that there is an obituary written about her in the first place. June usually gave doctors inaccurate birthdate information, and until recently upon finding her original birth certificate, no one knew her actual age. She was a fighter until the very end, even battling breast cancer at the age of 88.

June is survived by her son Bob (Kris) Pabian of Key West; daughter Tricia (Brad) Randall of Neptune Beach; her 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; niece, Christy (Jim) Gabriel; nephew, Mike Reveley; and many grand nieces and nephews. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 23, at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. A special thanks to Arbor Terrace in Ponte Vedra Beach and Community Hospice for the love and respect they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in June's memory to Community Hospice of NE Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd. Jax 32257.
