Joyce Keenan Sassa

Joyce Keenan Sassa passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida.

She was born July 31, 1931, in Camden, New Jersey to Elwood and Mae Keenan. Joyce was raised in Woodlynnne, New Jersey and attended Collingswood High School.

Joyce and J. Lawrence (Larry) Sassa were married in May of 1952. Their family lived in New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. She and Larry retired in Florida several years ago.

 Joyce is preceded in death by her husband of 65-years, Larry Sassa. She is survived by her sister, Karen Caracino (Christopher) of Ponce Inlet, Florida; as well as her three sons Lawrence (Ellen) Sassa of Ponte Vedra, Florida, Joel (Kathleen) Sassa, of Venice, Florida, and Steven (Patricia Mauro) Sassa, of Jacksonville, Florida. Joyce is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023 in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home, 3600 3rd Street S., Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.

A Celebration of Life and Interment at Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill, New Jersey will be held at a future date.
