Josephine Murphy

Josephine LaMendola Murphy, 82, passed away while visiting her oldest daughter in Pelion, SC on Palm Sunday, March 25, 2018. She was born in Mineola, NY.  Josephine previously lived in Atlantic Beach, FL for 31 years; Newport Richie, VA for over 10 years; and presently resided in King George, VA with her youngest daughter.

Survived by her daughters, Patti Spampanato (Nick) and Kelly Stallings (Brad); son, Rick; sister, Anna Brand (Jack); grandchildren, Michael, Brad II, Beth and Brittney; great-granddaughter, Emellia; and many other loving family members. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 41 years, Richard Patrick Murphy.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 2, 2018 in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 3rd in St. John’s Catholic Church of Atlantic Beach. Interment will follow in Beaches Memorial Park.
