Joseph Francis Putz passed away peacefully on August 14, 2023 in Community Hospice. He was born in South Bend, Indiana on February 14, 1946 to MaryEllen and Theodore Putz. Joe graduated from St. Joseph High School in South Bend and Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
Joe worked for Prudential Property and Casualty Insurance Company for 28 years. After retiring from Prudential, he worked for The Doctors Company. Joe was currently serving on the Supervisory Board at RadiFi Credit Union and past President of the Artisan Lakes HOA.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, great nephew Corbin Putz and Son-in-law Philip Mitchell.
Joe’s greatest love was his family. He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Cathy, daughters Angela Mitchell, Amy Jo Clark and step-daughter Jennifer Goldsmith (Andrew); Granddaughter Gwen Clark; Bothers Todd (Janice) and George (Bunnie) Putz; Nephews: Todd (Bernadette), Kenneth (Lisa), David (Jennifer), Joel (Deborah) and George; 10 Great Nephews and 2 Great Nieces - he was very proud of each one.
His love, big hugs and smiles will be missed by many. If you knew Joe, you loved him and he loved you right back. I know he’s looking down on us and saying, “Don’t cry, I’ll always be with you”.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church in Nocatee followed by a reception in the Artisan Lakes Amenity Center. Business casual attire is appropriate.
