Bruce inherited his passion for American passenger rail transportation from his father's years in that industry. He has been quoted in various industry publications on the subject and as a freelance writer, most recently he offered articles in an association with his employment.
His survivors include brother, Robert E. Richardson, Jr.; Jacksonville Beach, FL, and nieces Heather Shibley and Danna Burgess, both of Glen Allen, VA, along with cousins residing out of state. Bruce also had many longtime friends that he treasured, and business relationships that developed into lasting friendships.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Robert E. Richardson, Sr. and Alma Rose Richardson.
Bruce demonstrated a big heart to so many. He had an affinity to meet individuals where they were and warmly engaged them and remained loyal. He is and will be missed.
