John Buckner

John H. Buckner, 74, of Jacksonville, FL passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 25, 2016. John was born February 28, 1942, in Cedartown, GA to the late John H. Buckner, Sr. and Mary Lanham Buckner.
He was co-founder of Heritage Paper Company in 1972 and served as vice president for 41 years. John loved all sports, especially football and his beloved Georgia Bulldogs.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy, brothers Bill Buckner and Pete Buckner, daughters Karen Heykens (Mike), Sharon Whitfield (Chris), and grandchildren Maranda Heykens, Hannah Miller, Olivia Heykens, Haley Whitfield, David Heykens, and Katie Miller.
A Memorial Service will be held at Community Presbyterian Church in Atlantic Beach, Florida, at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, with Dr. Gabe Goodman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund at Community Presbyterian Church, 150 Sherry Drive, Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233.
