JoAnne Wegman went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 3, 2018. She was born March 1, 1930, in Rochester, New York. In 1980, JoAnne relocated to Florida eventually residing in Jacksonville.
JoAnne was a nurse, retiring in 1994, and spent much of her time with her family and church.
As a sister, mother, and grandmother she will forever be missed, loved, and adored. She was a true Lamb of God in every thought, word, and deed. The world she touched each day can never be the same and will be challenged to live in her path of caring compassion.
JoAnne is survived by three daughters, Lisa Eckley-Thomas(Art) of St. Augustine, FL, Amy Cooper (Mark) of Jacksonville, FL, and Marybeth Sivo (Steve) of Orlando, FL; brother, Jack Mooney of Buffalo, NY; sister, Mary Margaret Porter of Leroy, NY; ten grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Wegman and daughter, Kathy Swanson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for immediate family at Quinn Shalz Funeral Home with Reverend William Kelly as Celebrant. Interment will be in Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of NE FL.
Those of us that sorrow in her loss should know that "God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). Lean on God and allow Him to continue the process of healing your broken heart.
