Jo Anne McKinney

Jo Anne Miller McKinney, 77, passed away peacefully May 7, 2018 surrounded by her family.  A native of Jacksonville Beach, FL – graduating Fletcher High in 1957, she lived most of her life in Jacksonville.  As a military wife, she lived in Hawaii – which she fondly recalled “the happiest time of my life”.  She also briefly lived in California, which she enjoyed as well.

Jo Anne loved her family and looked forward to family gatherings in which she treated them all with her culinary delights.  She was a caterer for many years and could always be counted on for beautifully prepared dishes.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother and father Betty and Charles Miller and her husband John (Jack) McKinney.

Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Terri Loveday (Chuck), Angie Crews (Jimmy) and Suzy Morgan (Steve).  Survivors also include her sister Dottie Lay (Bob), and brother Keith Miller; grandchildren, Dale Bloom, Shelli Calhoun, Dewayne Crews (Jennifer), Brittany Oman, Macy Oman, Erika Morgan and Rachel Morgan; two great grandchildren, Kendall Bloom and Summer Calhoun; a niece and nephew, Cindy and Brian Lay.

A small family gathering will be held on Saturday, May 19th to distribute her ashes.
