JoAnn Abdullah

JoAnn Nader Abdullah, 83, passed away May 3, 2018.  She was born October 16, 1934 to the late Henry and Madee T. Nader, in Marshall, TX and relocated to Jacksonville Beach in 1959.

Very kind and loving, her courage and strength in the face of ovarian cancer was an inspiration to those around her. She had a huge heart and a passion for God and was a beautiful soul who touched many lives with her generous spirit and encouraging nature. She was a mother to 4, but a mother figure to many more. She is deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

JoAnn raised 4 wonderful daughters while simultaneously obtaining her real estate license, working alongside her husband, Paul, in their real estate office, and earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of North Florida.

JoAnn is survived by daughters Dee Dee (Steve), Janine, Denise (Kenny), and Paulette (Trent); grandchildren John Aaron, Zachary, Tanner, Amber and Spencer; siblings Raymond (Liz), & Larry; and a loving extended family. She was predeceased by her spouse, Paul Samuel Abdullah and sister, Norma Jean (Rick).

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Quinn Shalz Family Funeral Home 3600 Third Street South, Jacksonville Beach, FL. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Church at 190 South Roscoe Blvd. Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, followed by lunch at noon and Graveside Service at 3:00 p.m. at Beaches Memorial Park.
