Jim Haywood

Jim Carlton Haywood passed away peacefully on August 9, 2018 at McGraw Hospice.

Jim was a founding member of University of North Florida (UNF) and served as the Vice President of Administrative Affairs for 20 yrs. After retiring, he served as Business Manager of Episcopal School of Jacksonville for 18 yrs. After a long career, he enjoyed a hobby of beekeeping. More than anything, Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and many grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 60 yrs., Esther; sons, Mark (Judy) and Rick (Tariea); daughters, Cheryl and Donna (Brad); 11 grandchildren, April, J.C., Jennifer, Katie, Noah, Johnny, Jordan, Christopher, Cheyenne, Emily and Eric; and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson, DJ.

A Memorial Service will be held at Palms Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville Beach at 11:30am, Thursday, August 16, 2018.
