Jessica was born and raised in Neptune Beach, FL. She attended local schools, received her cosmetology license and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management. She spent her early 20’s working at Al’s Pizza where she made lifelong friends. She then worked at BAE Systems until she started her career in Real Estate where she found her true calling in life. She was a member of NEFAR. She was hard working, honest and truly loved matching her customers with their perfect home. Her generosity and kindness for others would sometimes lead her to give up portions of her commission to first time struggling homebuyers. Jessica worked with her cousin Maghen. Their united and dedicated friendship made working together more fun than actual work. They would laugh when Jessica had to “cross the ditch” because anyone that knows Jess knows she did not like to leave the beach. She loved selling homes at the Beaches. In the last year Jess opened up her own company, Tan Bar, where she was able to again, turn her love for helping others into a prosperous business.
Jessica brought the life to the party. She was a lover of food, ran local marathons and the Beach Blvd bridge, loved going to the Jaguar tailgate parties/games, loved meeting up with friends at the Lemon Bar and Ritz and above all things treasured being a mom. Her dedication to Christian was like no other. Whether she was organizing team mom activities for practices and games, bringing Chick-Fil-A lunch to CR or taking Christian and his friends on roller coasters, her love for her son was like no other. Jessica’s most significant and sustaining happiness was raising CR. She loved her summer trips to the Florida Keys where her and Tommy had a 2nd home for many years, enjoyed trips to the Springs, 4th of July parties on the beach and riding bikes. Tommy and Jess organized annual group trips to Costa Rica that were so much fun. Jess absolutely loved her girls’ trips. She always made the time for those trips where she made amazing memories. You could find Jess underneath the bright lights on the Fletcher football field wearing her homemade shirt cheering on CR #22. Jess and Tommy usually ended every night relaxing and unwinding in the hot tub enjoying each other’s company.
Jess had the brightest smile that could put anyone at ease. Everyone was Jess’ friend and boy did she have a lot. It would be impossible to name all of Jessica’s friends - there are hundreds. Her sense of humor was second to none and she was as compassionate as she was funny. She could find the silver lining to keep pushing forward in any situation she was faced with. Jess was so special. She represented the good that we all need every day in our lives.
Jessica’s love for her extended family and her girls was so important to her. The sisterhood she shared with her girls spanned decades with countless memories and unforgettable times. A special thank you to Cindy, Olivia and Shane for all their love and support. The unbreakable friendship and bond between Cindy and Jess will be forever in our hearts.
Lastly, we are so glad that Jessica met Tommy. He completed her dreams of being married and they shared a bond like no other. They enjoyed boating and many, many sunset cruises together. He was the most supportive and loving husband. All of Jess’ friends and family will be forever grateful for all of the love Tommy showed Jess and CR.
This loss is unmeasurable but so is the love she left behind. She was a facilitator, voice of reason, loyal to the core and a giver. She was one of a kind. Jess will never be forgotten as she has touched the entire beach community and will forever be remembered and missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
