Jason Sowers

Jason Michael Sowers, 35, of Jacksonville Beach, passed away February 15, 2022, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jason was born December 26, 1986, to Terry Gene Sowers and Connie Sue Lane in Jacksonville, Florida.  He grew up in Jacksonville Beach, and was a staple at the baseball fields, with his Dad always right by his side.

Jason graduated high school from Arlington Country Day School, Jacksonville, Florida. He received a baseball scholarship to Cowley College in Wichita, Kansas. Jason's love of Baseball led him to the Major Leagues, where he was drafted to the Texas Rangers in 2007. He was loved by so many and was known for his gentle soul. He was very close with his family and will be deeply missed.

Jason is survived by his Father, Terry and Stepmother, Dawn; step- siblings, Diana, Troy, and Tyler; Grandfather, Bobby; Uncle, Steve (Janice); Aunt, Crystal (Laura); Cousins. Justin, Jordan, Storm, Bailey, Skyler, Alysa, Jaden, Giana, and Seraya.

Jason is preceded in death by his Mother, Connie; and his Grandmother, Evelyn.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 6;00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 6:00 PM, in the chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home, 3600 Third Street S, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
