Janice Kelly

Janice Butler Kelly of Deland FL, daughter of Paul and Jeannette Butler passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2021, following a longtime illness. She was surrounded by love from her family. Born in Kingsville, Maryland, in 1953, Janice learned to ride horses and competed in dressage as a young girl. She earned a degree in computer science and worked as a respected software business consultant. In 1985, she married Joseph F. Kelly from York, PA, and they raised their two daughters Amy and Laura, in Parkton, MD. Janice and Joe loved their home in Deland, FL, where Janice matched Joe’s passion for golf with her own advanced sewing and quilt-making skills. As a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church, she enjoyed the fellowship of friends and parishioners. Alternately funny and fierce, always loving, she left a significant mark and will be missed by many. Janice is survived by her husband Joseph Kelly, daughters Amy Kelly and Laura Kelly, granddaughter Lydia Platts and brother Ronald Butler.
