Janet Knopp

KNOPP Janet (Hildebrand) Knopp, 82, passed away February 12th, 2016. She was born August 30th 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and settled in Neptune Beach in 1963 after many moves with the military. Janet served in the Marine Corps, worked for the navy exchange, and retired as the post mistress for the Atlantic Beach Post office. She was a member of Ponte Vedra United Methodist Church, and the Beaches Republican Club. Janet was survived by her two sons, John J. (Jack) Knopp and Frederick Von (Fred) Knopp; grandchildren, Sarah, Lauren, Emma and Brooke; and great grandchildren, Liam, Nathan, Pennie and Jeremiah. She was preceded by her husband, (John J. Knopp Sr.) also known as Captain Jack. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sat. February 20, 2016 in Ponte Vedra United Methodist Church.
