James Wynn, Sr.

James W. Wynn Sr. passed away on July 11, 2021, at the age of 91 near his home in Ponte Vedra Beach FL. All his family was there. He was coherent and funny to the end. Some of his last words included, "I would prefer to die in a more comfortable bed!" He was a former corporate leader and Korean War Naval officer; and a dad who told us he loved us and hugged us on a regular basis. He enjoyed his life and helped you enjoy yours too!

James was a native of Dublin, Georgia and long-term resident of Florida. He was instrumental in the creation and success of the Ponte Vedra United Methodist Church. His smile, humor and laugh will be remembered by all who knew him. He is survived by his 4 children Bruce, James William Jr., Garrison, and Betsy (Newman); his 8 grandchildren Laura, Cimaron, James William Wynn III, Chelsea, Sandi, Michael, Carly & Connor; and 3 Great Grand Children Millie, James William Wynn IV and Virginia.

A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 17, 2021 in Ponte Vedra United Methodist Church.
