Herb spent his whole life serving, whether it was the military, his country, or his fellow man. Herb was a big man with a gentle soul and a heart of gold. Those who knew Herb all agree that he always had a kind word, a joke, or an interesting story to share with others.
Herb was married to Rita in March of 1983. They began their lives in Virginia and moved around to places like Littleton, Colorado and Jacksonville, Florida. They shared a love for traveling, cats, solving crossword puzzles, listening to music, enjoying a 5 o'clock cocktail and of course listening to the news. They were surrounded by friends and family who became their family since their relatives were in New York. We are forever grateful to them all.
May we all find comfort that they are reunited together in peace.
