Henry G. Frampton Jr., 91, passed away June 14, 2016. Henry served our country as an enlisted Marine in the Pacific Theater during World War II, serving as a machine gunner on the aircraft carrier USS Bunker Hill. He received the Bronze Star Medal for Valor and the Purple Heart. After the war, he attended Michigan State University. He later enjoyed an Army career, becoming one of the original Green Berets. After military retirement, Henry worked in the cigar business with Arturo Fuente and J.C. Newman cigar companies.
Henry was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Barbara Galbraith Frampton. He is survived by his four children: Henry G. Frampton III, Michael J. Frampton, Scott L. Frampton, and Deborah F. Hearl. He is mourned by the children’s wives and husbands, as well as 8 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 6 great grandsons, and 6 great granddaughters.
