The world lost a classy lady. Helen Sherlock passed away on July 31, 2017. She was born July 6,1939 in Jersey City, NJ and attended Dickinson High School. Helen graduated as “Miss Dickinson”, honor student, cheerleader and most popular. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. Her whole life was a class act. Helen later earned a diploma from Administration Academy and went to work as an Administrative Assistant for sales and marketing executives.
Helen was a social athlete, played golf, tennis and paddleball; all very well with many trophies as evidence. After moving to Ponte Vedra Beach, she worked part time at The Tournament of Players Club for 20 years.
Helen leaves behind her husband of 46 years, George; 2 sons, Bill Vercelli and his wife, Toni, of Jacksonville and step-son, Bill Sherlock and his wife, Dotty, of Charlotte, NC; and 4 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in the chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
