Helen Likins

Helen Jean Likins, 89, of Jacksonville, FL, entered eternal life on Monday, July 16, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Robert E. Weires and Mary Helen Myers of Cumberland, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 yrs, Orion P. Likins and her son David E. Likins.

A devoted Christian who taught Sunday School for over 30 yrs, Jean was also an accomplished pianist, who enjoyed reading, writing, volunteering at the Sulzbacher Center and visiting the elderly.

She is survived by her beloved son Chris Likins, daughter Peggy Templeman (Neil) and two grand-daughters Andrea Helen Templeman and Helen Agnes Likins. Jean was a loving wife, mother and friend.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 25 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Cathedral, 256 E. Church Street. Reception to follow. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. John's Cathedral or the Sulzbacher Center.
