Gloria Goelz

GOELZ Gloria Child Goelz Googi died peacefully at home on November 19, 2015 with family at her side. She was born on September 17, 1925 in New Jersey. She graduated with honors from Bucknell University. In 1961 she moved to Florida with her family. Gloria is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 65 years, Herbert Goelz. She is survived by her children Bill (Charlotte), Lori (Jack), Tom (Donnalea), Kathi (Walter) and John (Patricia), grandchildren Brooke, Kathryn, Lauren, Caleb, Andrew, Larkin, Mariah, Steven, Dylan, Wally, Avery, Kaytee, Daniel, and Sarah, her 8.99 great grandchildren - all of whom love her always and all ways. Gloria was a lover of a great many things, but her family, Herbie and the Fab Five were her greatest joys in life. She taught us grace and benevolence, tolerated our irreverence, and rejoiced in the peals of laughter that accompanied every family gathering. She was, simply, Great, and we are better for it. The family is enormously grateful to her caregivers Coretta, Donna, Evelyn, Kent, Margaret, Mary, Mike, and Sheila. We are also thankful for Amber, Heartland Hospice, and Doctors Brian and Tea Stephens for their incredible medical services. We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this time. The family is planning a private celebration of Gloria's life.
