Gloria Nilda Acosta-Martinez passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024 in Jacksonville, Florida. Gloria was born on March 29, 1931, in Hormigueros, Puerto Rico, to Juan and Guadalupe Acosta. She was known for fostering long-term relationships with grace and understanding and lived a life filled with love, passion, and class.
Gloria's journey was filled with many achievements, but she always held her family close to her heart as her proudest accomplishment. She shared 40 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband Modesto Martinez Abelo until his passing in 2019. Gloria's nurturing spirit extended to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will forever cherish the memories created together.
Throughout her career as a sales representative in the fashion and cosmetics industry, Gloria showcased unparalleled enthusiasm and dedication. Her keen eye for style and color not only reflected in her work but also in how she interacted with others.
Apart from her professional achievements and familial bonds, Gloria found joy in simple pleasures like spending quality time with family, exploring new destinations through travel, visiting friends and family near and far, and indulging in the art of style.
Gloria's love for life was evident in everything she did. Whether she was offering fashion advice or showering loved ones with compliments, Gloria's independent yet warm nature touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Gloria Nilda Acosta-Martinez will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home located at 3600 3rd Street South, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
