Geraldine "Dina" Sanchez
May 11, 1970 — April 3, 2017
Geraldine "Dina" Sanchez, 46, joined God's Kingdom on April 3, 2017. She was born on May 11, 1970 in Jacksonville, FL where she remained with exception of a few years in Kentucky, New Jersey and Virginia.
Dina, daughter of late Gerald C. Castillo and Leona Burden, spent her youth living and playing in the undeveloped family land a block away from the beach in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. She moved to Kentucky and finished H.S in New Jersey then returned to her Majorcan Florida home. Her work ethic was impeccable as described by coworkers at Little Champs, Mayo Clinic and Walker Law Group. As a community leader, her Girl Scouts, Summer Bible School students and friends knew her to be the one to guide and take charge of any program if needed. As a wife and mother, she was the role model for everyone and cared for every friend equally.
Dina is survived by her husband of 20 years, Juan Carlos; daughter, Selena; brother Jim Castillo; sisters, Lora Milam and Jan Castillo. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jacqueline.
A visitation will be held at Quinn-Shalz on Monday April 10, 2017 between 6-8PM. A Funeral Mass will be St. Paul's Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11 AM.
