Frances Elizabeth Thompson

Frances Elizabeth Thompson, aged 89, departed from this earthly existence on July 22, 2023, to join our Lord Jesus Christ. Affectionately known as Nanny to her cherished loved ones, Frances was the embodiment of a strong matriarch and played a vital role in five generations of her family’s lives. Today, we find solace knowing that she is reunited with her beloved husband, Sonny Thompson – our treasured daddy and granddaddy. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Gerald H. “Sonny” Thompson, in 1983.

Frances leaves behind a little sister, Marie Long Owens and a legacy that will forever be remembered by her children: Theresa Mason (Ray), Peggy Ann Rinderer Fowler (Ken), Rusty Thompson (Judy), Sandy Moon Beach, and Timmy Thompson (Belinda). Additionally, she leaves behind a multitude of grandchildren whose lives she enriched: Sunnie Moon Confiado (Jericho), Billy Poarch (Shauna), Melissa Moon, Josh Moon, Jessica Thompson Benson (Daryl), Tyler Thompson (Sarah), Matt Leggett, Lisa Poarch (Carl), Gina Brinkley, and Christi Fox (Brenden). She cherished her 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She “Loves All her Babies”.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 27, 2023 in the chapel of Quinn Shalz Funeral Home, 3600 3^rd Street S, Jacksonville Beach, FL. A Graveside service will immediately follow in H. Warren Smith Cemetery of Jacksonville Beach.
