Frances V. Setaro

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frances “Fran” Vera Setaro, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend who left this world on December 20, 2024, at the age of 80. Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Fran lived a life filled with love, care and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

Fran was predeceased in death by her devoted husband, George, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Corbett (Phil) and Donna Eimers (Pat); son, Donald Setaro (Niecy); adoring granddaughters, Amanda Corbett (Cole), Kelly Williams (Dylan) and Nicole Setaro. Fran also leaves behind her brother, William Cotter (Peggy) and sisters, Margie Ferrari, Lois Marx and Louise Marx.

Fran had a heart of gold and a talent for making those around her feel special and cared for. She was happiest when tending to her garden, enjoying a quiet game of solitaire and hosting gatherings for family and friends where her warmth and humor brought everyone together. A natural caregiver, Fran dedicated her early years to looking afer her younger twin sisters, instilling in her a lifelong commitment to family, patience and kindness.

Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be remembered as the best woman any of us ever had the privilege of knowing.

Fran will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

In lieu of a celebration of life, the family has opted for a small family gathering. We hope everyone understands.
