Frances Busby

Frances (Fran) Smith Thomas, 84, died October 7, 2016 in Jacksonville, FL.  Born 2-13-32 in Longview, IL. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alexander W. Busby, her son, Robert E. Thomas, Jr., her parents, C. Russell and Lillian D. Smith, and her sister, Shirley Mantlo. She is survived by her sons: Daniel Thomas, Norrkoping Sweden and Michael Thomas (Joyce) Champaign, IL, daughter Julie Thomas Klecker (Greg), Saginaw, MI; daughter-in-law, Ginny Frey Thomas, Sinking Spring, PA, and step-daughter Carol Busby Campbell (Craig) Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.  Seven grandsons, Matthew Thomas (Lisa), Grant Thomas (Traci), Paul Thomas, Robbie Thomas (Anna), Nathan Thomas (Lauren), Ian Thomas, and William Thomas.  Five granddaughters: Keri Waite (Daniel), Corey Davis, Jessica Davis, Robin Heltsley (Blake), and Amanda Thomas. Two step-granddaughters Keeley Marsik and Kira Campbell.

She was an elder and a member of Palms Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville Beach; and a long time member and elder of Park Presbyterian Church, Beaver, PA.  She attended the University of Illinois; was former chairman of the Board of the American Red Cross, Beaver County Chapter; Director of Admissions for the International Academy of Merchandising and Design, Chicago, IL and for Garfield Business Institute, New Brighton, PA.

A memorial service will be held October 25, at 11 AM, at Palms Presbyterian Church, 3410 3rd St S, Jacksonville Beach, FL, 32250.
