Evelyn Kessler, 92, was born July 11, 1930, in Reading, PA. Evelyn met and married Franklin Keil Kessler. The two became jitterbug and swing dance partners. They moved many times before settling in Jacksonville, FL in 1971.
Evelyn worked as a librarian at both Wolfson High School and Neptune Beach Elementary School. She loved reading, hot fudge sundaes, history, Turner Classic movies, and shoes. She participated in line dancing, playing mahjong, and attending book club meetings as well as shows and concerts highlighting granddaughters Melody, and Julia. She hated cooking but loved eating out.
Evelyn leaves behind her son, Ira Kessler; daughter, Tina Fallon; granddaughters, Melody Fallon, and Julia Fallon (Brice); great grandkids: Jude Fallon, Lily Hendricks, Mark Kessler (Susan), and Melvin Singer; best friend since the age five, Miriam Karlin; as well as many friends and relatives. She is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Franklin; and sisters Ann, and Miriam.
