Ellen Adline Lewis (57) lived life with more love, strength and will than could have ever been expected from a woman that stood just five feet tall. She had the most beautiful brown eyes, flowing curly dirty blonde hair and lit our world with a smile that had a glow of true happiness. She was a daughter first to a mother she loved and missed dearly Virginia Sancousy, after which she was a mother to her children, son Brent Parrish (33) and daughter Priscilla Parrish (37), that she cared for sometimes better than she cared for herself. She was a grandmother to three of the (quoted) “most amazing Grandkids” Aliya (20), Adrianna (6) and Adline (1). She was a wife to Michael Brown in which they supported each other through all of life’s circumstances. She was a mother to more than just Brent and Priscilla, caring for every person that came into her life as if they were her own. She spent her professional time driving busses that were just as big as her presence when she walked into a room, in both cases sometimes you were along for the best ride of your life or you had better get out of the way. In the time she had away from her career, she spent with her family and friends. She was a traveler no doubt and loved spending time in the Carolinas with her grandchildren Aliya & Adrianna. She loved taking selfies with her Sweet Adline & the Harveyman while mom & dad were in dire need of a break from parenthood. As much as she loved to travel, she also loved just being at home on her ever changing couches watching her NEVER changing television, which stayed on Wheel of Fortune and the news. She was a biker, a bus driver, a lover of music, a trinket collector, a thrift store shopper, a yard saler and a million other things in the short 57 years she spent with us here on Earth, but most of all she was a woman of true character, chiseled from a life of amazing experiences. We hope that you can honor your memories of her with all that could be expected of a woman that gave so much to this life. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., Wed., May 25, 2016 with the Celebration of Ellen Lewis’ Life following at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home of Jacksonville Beach.
