Elizabeth McMahon

Elizabeth Bergeron McMahon passed away peacefully February 17, 2022 at the age of 86 in the company of her son Gregory and daughter-in-law Angela after a brief illness.

Elizabeth Bergeron, known as "Libby" to all her friends and family, was born September 21, 1935 in Fall River, MA attending BMC Durfee High School and Tufts College. After raising a family of four, she went back to school to earn her Teaching Certification and had a successful 30+ year career at Oakland Park Elementary School. After retiring she enjoyed reading, watching cooking shows and going on cruises.

She is survived by her sons Michael John McMahon and his wife Piedad, Gregory Paul McMahon and his wife Angela; and her grandchildren Dylan, Patrick, Riley and Franklin; and her sister Judy O'Connell. In addition, she will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert McMahon, her daughter Elizabeth McMahon and son Robert McMahon Jr.; her sister Joan Ohrn and brothers David, Peter, Michael and Paul Bergeron.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Libby's strong spirit will be held at Lauderdale Memorial Park on a date still to be determined.
