Elizabeth (Beth) Cueroni

Elizabeth (Beth) Hilborn Cueroni, 87, died peacefully in Atlantic Beach, FL, on May 20, 2020, with Rick, her loving husband of almost 67 years, and her family by her side. Her proudest accomplishments were her children Robin Hanson (Walt), Nancy Cueroni, Donna Cueroni, Cheri Comasco (Carl) and Rich Cueroni. Besides her children, Beth was also very proud of her grandchildren, Emily (Matt) Deal, Carl (Victoria) Comasco, Vince (Lauren) Comasco, David Hanson, Michael (Kristen) Comasco and Andrew Hanson and her almost seven great grandchildren. In addition, she leaves behind her brother Charles (Pamela) Hilborn and her brother-in-law Lee (Jan) Cueroni. Family was the most important thing to her and for that her family is grateful.

During Rick’s 36-year career in the Coast Guard, Beth effortlessly and enthusiastically established loving homes in close to 20 locations. She always made each move an adventure for her family.

Beth was an independent, warm and caring woman who touched lives everywhere she went. In retirement that enthusiasm and sense of adventure didn’t end. As someone who conquered seasickness, she loved her more than 200 days of cruising. Beth truly lived life to the fullest.

Beth was Rick’s hostess extraordinaire and was as comfortable hosting Presidents and other personalities as she was coworkers, friends and family. She always set a gorgeous table but was known for her sweets. Not just serving them, but for her love of them.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with inurnment at the US Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT.
