Eileen Marie (Cole) Moffa, 51, of Jacksonville, FL, originally from Greensburg, PA, passed on Friday, March 10, 2017 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was at home, in the care of her family.
The youngest of eight kids, “Beanie” grew up in Greensburg, graduating in 1983 from Greensburg Salem High School and getting married in 1985. She worked several jobs over the course of her life, mostly administrative work, and her longest stint was at Seton Hill University.
Over those 10 years, she worked in the registrar’s office and the library, aiding the vast majority of students who came through the small campus on the hill. Aside from being a mother, she was best at helping others and the college atmosphere brought her hundreds of students who needed someone like her. She was embodiment God’s unconditional love.
Beanie is survived by her three children and one grandchild, Sara (Moffa) and her husband Grant Monnich, along with their daughter Bailey and her sons Samuel and Antonio. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Mark, her mother-in-law Sally Moffa, her mother Magdalene Cole, and her six siblings: Jane Clohessy, Louise Wilhelm, David Cole, Emily Daloni, Mary Ellen Cole, and Barbara Baker, along with her in-laws. Her father, Donald and her brother Donnie preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greensburg, PA on March 25 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
