Edith M. Brisson

Edith Marilyn (Fioretti) Brisson, 94, passed away on Sept 2, 2024. She was born August 8,1930 to Filomena (DiJusto) and Edward Fioretti in the Bronx, New York.

Edith was married to Vernon (passed 2021) for 69 wonderful years. Together they had 6 children, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Edith graduated from St. Elizabeth’s College, NJ with a BA in Sociology. Throughout her life she continued working within her community as a volunteer in local hospitals, schools and libraries.

She and Vernon raised their family in the northeast and retired to Jacksonville, FL. She found joy in gardening, reading, knitting and crocheting.

Edith is survived by her children Mary Beth Hardy (Mark), Carolyn Locarno (Peter), Annemarie (Tom Geiger), Susan Harry (Scott) and Thomas (Genna). She is predeceased by her husband and son William. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at 10:30 am in Our Lady Star of Sea, Jacksonville FL. All are welcome.
