Douglas Ugles

UGLES Douglas R. Ugles, 81, passed away January 7, 2016. He was born July 2, 1934 in the Bronx, NY. He raised his family in Haworth, NJ and retired to the beaches in 1996. Doug proudly served our country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. After his military career, Doug started his career as a teacher, which he did for 28 years. Doug's greatest pleasure in life was spending time with his family. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ada; daughters, Valerie and Stephanie; son, Brett; grandchildren, David, Ali, Nicole, Brett, Christopher, Samantha, Stephen, Jamie and Rachel; and great granddaughter, Salka. He was predeceased by his son, Brian. A gathering of friends will be held from 10am to 11am, Monday, January 11, 2016 in Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Ponte Vedra Beach. Following the gathering a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 am with Rev. Santhosh Syriac as Celebrant.
