Dorothy Oberg

Dorothy Ruth Oberg (nee Balazik), 97, passed away on January 9, 2018. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio December 1, 1920. She raised her family in Towson, Maryland, prior to moving to Ponte Vedra, Florida where she resided at Vicar’s Landing. She was on the Trust Committee at Vicar’s Landing, a member of the Vicar’s Landing Chorus, and also volunteered in both the Vicar’s Landing Health Center and in the Boutique and Gift Shop.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard G. Oberg; devoted mother of Richard G. Oberg Jr. (Kathy), Barbara L. Reber (late husband David), Phyllis J. Friend, Harriett A. Myers (Oliver), Marilyn L. Oberg-Olmi (Eugene), and Christopher S. Oberg (Diane); loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren; and great-grandmother of 29 great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held in Towson, Maryland where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
